This with WWKB off last night. Clear Columbia mention early into the tape. Is Baranquilla the only Columbian on 1520?

I've only listened to the first minute of it, but there appear to be two Spanish stations there. The recoding has what sounds like the slogan Barry mentioned he'd heard there from Bogota, however I believe I hear calls after that which appear to be HJ*X which doesn't fit.

This needs someone with better Spanish than mine or else more familiarity with Colombian stations.

But there are several stations in Colombia on 1520, 3 or 4 at 5 kw or greater.

From John Callarman:

Listening to Rick's tape, verbal evidence points to HJLI as heard by Barry McLarnon ... At 3:38 into the tape, it appears the male announcer mentioned "En Vida, AM Musical" ... Earlier (0:22 in) Man is talking of what sounds like "Federa X exaforma dice Colombia"... gives number 14-53-00 ... later, about 2:35 in, woman appears to be talking about something tying to religion or church "... señor palabra" seems to deal with God's Word ... and address, which sounds like "venida Calle (or similar) 13, 7970" Is given, and name "Pastor Eduardo Caña Sestár Barranza" (that's what it sounds like) is mentioned.

It's not clear to these ancient ears that everything came from the same station ... could have been fade-up and fade-down ... and of course there were several other signals there.

Not very helpful, sorry, but it was a nice sounding tape!

http://dxblog.wordpress.com lists HJLI as Vida AM Música

"En Vida AM Musical" is what Barry had noted, and what I thought was here. I still think it dsounds like calls after that, but different calls from HJLI - again possibly 2 stations. I still don't have a 2007 WRTH, and the government website has been changed since I last could obtain AM & FM station listings -- they may still be there but I couldn't locate them - probably because of my poor Spanish. I expect Henrik may have the answer though...

I suppose the call is still HJLI. This one is ex-Radio Latina, exex-Ecos del Palmar; main station listed on 1130; has affiliates in Medellín 870 etc.

Sec. 22 and following:
"este es el nuevo PBX /private branch exchange/ del Sistema Vida Colombia,
2 94 33 00"

33 might be 53, 63 or something else ending in three, excepting 03 or 13
