August 22 sporadic E brought in these two stations mixing on 91.5 both with female announcers giving weather reports for various New Mexico cities. One mentions "All Things Considered" which is NPR programming, mentions what sounds like "looks like Santa Fe won 43..... then "about 64 degrees tonight in Albuquerque"
The other announcer mentions "currently 87 in Roswell, 80...." and "79 degrees Taos"
Both dive under an annoying sounding childrens program from yet another station in the end of the audio.
Records show 4 transmitters on 91.5 in New Mexico. KFLQ Family Radio in Albuquerque which is one of the stations as a phone call to them recognized one of their announcers named Joy in the audio.
KRUX Las Cruces is ruled out as they say they don't do any of this type of programming.
88.3 KLYT in Albuquerque has a 63 watt translator on 91.5 in Artesia K218AK but the young fellow I talked to on the phone said he doesn't think they have any female announcers that do weather reports. Only a male.
That leaves WAFR's 50 watt translator K218BZ in Hobbs, NM. But would an American Family Radio station in Mississippi even do weather reports on a New Mexico translator? One of the stations in the audio clearly mentions "All Things Considered," an NPR program?
