Here are 3 Canadian stations seen this weekend. The 1st one is Ch. 2. The rest are from Ch. 3. For entertainment purposes only.

In case you did not already know, all three are CBC stations (Air Farce has been a CBC staple for decades, going back to radio, and heard on RCI to this day, AFAIK)
I find it much harder to ID Canadian skip than it was years ago, with so many local stations being sold to the CBC itself, and very few local ads
What would have been a logical guess for CBC on 3, CKVR Barrie, broke with the CBC awhile back (it is now "A-Channel"). CBHT in Halifax, NS is possible, but a little far to be typical Es reception in OKC.
The Saskatchewan stations are the right distance.
Did you notice what beat pattern the channel 3 made against your semi-local KOET? Fine lines would favor Ponteix, but beat bars or fluttering would favor Warmley of Halifax.

Rob, wow...thanks a lot for the info....i'll have to go back and review a tape if i've got one...may have snapped these "live" before i had the tape system going...and I don't remember the reception pattern from memory...
I've now got a map with distance circles which has been most helpful when estimating station receptions...
thanks again..and if i get more info regarding the reception pattern against the other ch. 3 semi-local i'll post.
regards,scott
