A nice solid 3-4 minute Es signal on 94.7 the same time as northern Wisconsin and Minnesota was in. Classic hits "Gold balads from 94.7" Has anyone ever heard this one?

After trying many possibilities I fionally got a Google hit on the DJ's name, "Chaz Mixon". He's apparently syndicated to a number of AM & FM stations however nothing listed on any of the hits is a 94.7.

At least maybe you can check out the websites of the stations on 94.7 with the format within the skip area...

Thanks Russ, I had tried Google myself but was going with "Chas Nixon" which turned up nothing. I'll go with what you found. I suspect Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota or maybe Manitoba. Had 91.5 Thief River Falls, MN at 1320 miles just after this one.

I checked website links from 100000watts.com for stations in IA, IL, MI, MN, ND, SD & WI and found none shoing him in their lineup. Don't know about Manitoba... :(

Only 94.7 in that part of Canada is CKLF "Star94.7" at Brandon in southwest Manitoba. http://www.starfmradio.com . That site is not dialup-friendly. (which means I've not explored to see if they list Chaz Mixon) My understanding is the format is hot AC.

Hi Doug, I don't see anything on the site to confirm Chaz Mixon is ever on, but thanks for the link.
I snagged a couple of your locals on tropo 2 nights ago.
