This is my last DX trip for 2007. Not only will the season close, but (A) I got a gf to visit in Ocala, and (B) I needed another jump start!!

Three pix below----finally an Es grab on ch 2 in color! The volleyball is Tele Rebelde 13 Cuba.

20 TV Marti.....ya know....I suppose it is because they must be broadcasting from planes circling around.....honestly, I did not move the antenna....but sometimes you'd get the sharpest pic, and seconds later it's gone, then sharp again.
44 Last night Key West was in strong at home, and I saw a 44 with color bars only, no sound....was thinking maybe Cuba....today I point the antenna to Key West & there it was faintly....so must be W44AC....wondering now what they plan to do.

That XHRIO-2 ID is a good one: Easy to read ID/logo and a pretty girl in shorts.

I see that logo from Cuba every so often.

Didn't TV Marti use airplanes years ago? I know that some educational stations used to do that, as well.

Whoever the gal was, she was a guest on that variety show, and the guy (host) was sure excited to see her....I did hear her say she sings opera & she is Dominican, FWIW.

Marti used airplanes, I believe, also 2 years ago when they used ch 13. I suppose they do this, so that every Cuban around Havana can see at least "a little" of it, without Fidel having to build extra towers to jam. That's my opinion, and I could be wrong. However, who would wanna watch just "smidgeons" of a program?!?!? I *was* able to record 2 hours on ch 13 2 years ago from Flamingo FL.....there was slight fading, but certainly not like this. BTW.....I purposely took that "rainbow effect" snap, to show what "downgrade" DX has from live to tape......kinda reminds me of those old 3-color sheets ppl used to put on their B&W TV for a pseudo-color scheme....remember those?

KETS was super sharp for awhile, but all there was, was some guy giving a lecture, with an 800# on screen, and no logo bug.

Another member told me, instead of my car battery, it could be my alternator. Well I just paid 2 weeks' pay for maintenance & repair....how they could miss that, well, I dunno.

As to the logo on the Cuba grab....that is their Sunday afternoon program "Todo Deportes" hence the TD logo.....I am not sure, but during their baseball season, when a game is on in that time slot, the TD is not shown.

Danny, I betcha you have seen that logo on ch 2, likely La Habana, which came in as well when Es were not strong enough.
