DX conditions started firing up yesterday morning. Right now it has peaked with 3 muxes coming in so strong that I don't need to put antenna under ceiling to get any signal (like happened yesterday). Right now the signal is:
E57 S 72%; Q 83%. E60 S 68% ja Q 83%. E63 S 64% ja Q 59%
These signals come from 93 km from Koeru. I am watching it with an indoor antenna(this time it is a new one I bought a few weeks ago, I made a thread about this).

Pretty good, I guess, given that this antenna with its amplification works as good as the old one. Interesting is that there aren't much going on on analog, for example LTV1 from Valmiera Latvia, also 93 km away is rather snowy, no teletext. It has colors though.

Koeru tower is the only one what I have received so far, I haven't picked up any other towers.

I'm curious - what do "S" and "Q" mean? Are these different ways of measuring the quality on the same mux? Or are they different channels on each mux? (but I'd think there were more than 2 channels on each mux?)

What channels are the analogs on? It looks like the DTV signals are on rather high frequencies, maybe the propagation is frequency-selective and works better on high channels than on low ones? (I see that sometimes here)

The S reading is the strength of signal. Q reading is the quality of digital signal.

Yes, Latvian channels are on lower frequencies. For example LTV1 at Valmiera is on E33, and LTV7 on E21.

I think that there is something about terrain. The Southern Estonia is full of hills, as well as Northern Latvia.
