Attached are several GY DX clips from earlier this season. Many of these come under the heading of "...this sounds fairly clear, so why can't I match it up ? ". All have previously been shared with the members of the GY DX list.

It may simply be that some of these need the right person to listen to ID them - someone familiar with the subject station.

Thanks in advance for any help !

Hi,
The file below I know from listening is right here in my home town of Ogdensburg,New York. The station is WSLB 1400. They used to have talk during the days and now it's ESPN 1400.

Thanks - but you're aware, I hope, that this was recorded last December ( 2007 ), and I'm guessing the change you mention was before that ?

WSLB has been heard here rarely before, but it's always nice to scratch an unID off the list.

Hi Russ,
Yes,I know the local sponsor in my town, plus the guy doing the commercial is the same guy that has a morning show on 95.3 FM WGIX Gouverneur,NY. Both are owned by the same company.

As for the change, the change to ESPN ON 1400 full time took place last week of November 2007. The talk format moved sister station 92.7 FM a week later(Dec 3rd).

Just wanted to confirm that station is WSLB. I was surprised you heard it that far out in the evening.

I've probaby heard WSLB once or twice each winter since 2004 when I started actively listening to the graveyard frequencies again. I do hear WATN-1240 more regularly, WBTA-1490 about as often as WSLB.

Thanks for checking back though. You should be able to do very well DX'ing the graveyard frequencies from where you are!
