This audio clip is from the first week in January of 2005. I decided to take a radio up on the roof of my employer to DX. (It was an old boombox w/ tape deck.) The time was around 5:00pm - close to sunset. What you will hear in this clip is a clear ID for 1530 KFBK Sacramento, CA!!! I still cannot believe it. What I usually expect to hear on 1530 is Cincinnatti- just a couple hundred miles away and always strong... . I do not understand how a signal that strong can travel during the daylight hours over to my location.. .and when you listen to the clip you will find that the signal remains constant, almost no fading. The signal stayed for several minutes. I got 1070 KNX Los Angeles once but it was under so much static AND it was night coast to coast. Anybody have any comments or suggestions?
