Ouch! Now I really understand why there's such a fuss over IBOC! All these stations tearing up the spectrum for a few listeners with their "HD Radios".

Here in Duluth, we have no IBOC broadcasters...and I hope we don't any time soon! We're pretty late with things up here. For example, I don't think there were any DTVs until 2003.

99.1 WPLR New Haven

In tonight's intense trop to New England, their IBOC is covering 99.3 to the point of where local WZBZ is about gone when pointed NNE/NE/ENE (ZBZ is 13 miles SE)....

Allow me to update the CT/Springfield area MA HD list...

88.5 WFCR
90.3 WAMC*
90.7 WTCC
92.5 WWYZ
93.1 WHYN
93.7 WZMX
95.7 WKSS
96.5 WTIC
97.9 WPKX
99.1 WPLR
101.3 WKCI
102.9 WDRC
104.1 WPHH
105.9 WHCN
106.9 WCCC

Statuses of the stations which don't have it yet.

94.7 WMAS... the ownership status is in limbo, and could be changing hands at some point.

98.3, 99.3, and 102.1 Saga is very late on their buildouts and if any of their stations get is, 99.3 will be the first (supposidly 99.3 is on the 'backup' list)

100.5 isn't slated till next year.

104.9 will be building possibly a new facility but most likely without it.

106.3 , unless sold, won't anytime soon. They currently use an Energy Onix ECO6 transmitter.

Also noteworthy: 105.5 in "Easthampton" (Chicopee) when it does sign on, will sign on in full HD.

I've had suspicions about WTCC. 90.9 sometimes sounds a little funky when aimed right at them, but although WTCC is strong, their HD gives me no problems. Wish I could say the same about the rest.
