I'm posting a few unid's from the past 2 weeks: 100.9 from 6/22, 91.7 from 7/5 and 92.1 from 7/7. This last is the one which sounded to me like either WMSO or WMSR. There's not a lot to most of these. The first 2 are tropo.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks-

There's a translator ID at the end of 91.7 which I copied as W245AE or AD. It's after the presumed primary calls.

Listen to it again and tell me if this matches. I did a little research and this is what it sounds like to me :
"This is WBMR Telford. We're translating 96.9 W245AG in Gladwyne"
It all matches according to Google.
WBMR is listed as 115 watts on 91.7

Russ,
You have at least 3 stations in there. At the beginning I hear "_ of Dothan" for a car ad or bank ad which would almost certainly be WJJN near Dothan about 90 miles NE of me. You also have WFFY "Fly 92-1" Destin, FL which is 10 miles from me. Sometimes when they id it almost sounds like "I-92-1" or "Y-92-1" I recognize the DJ's voice. He's on in the evenings. "Your radio will explode with a _ then what sounds like WMSU or close to it is probably him saying something urbanish "_ the Emerald flavah". The Emerald Coast is the name of this area and they give the name for other things. I heard them say "Emerald flavah" a bit ago while I was listening and matching the DJ's work. But for some reason it doesnt quite sound like flavah. multi station signals mixing does weird things to one's hearing. Mine anyway :-D
The 3rd station with the funky music in the background might be WZEW in Fairhope, AL. They're 85 miles west of me with adult alternative music. There are way too many stations on 92.1 around here. I hope none of them decide to move though! I like my super clear 92.7! I tried to call WFFY on the phone and let him listen but the darn # in the phone book is for the old K-Rock who used to be on 92.1 earlier this year.

WBMR it is - trouble is they keep running on exciter only mornings and are very weak when they do. I just replayed the clip, and that's who it is.
On 92.1, I have a longer segment there which I'm now going to re-listen to later today and see what else I can pull out as it was a real jumble.
Also have a lebgthy stretch on 91.3 but I never heard any ID's - I only ID'ed WJTG-GA by a full RDS software screen capture.
Thanks Randy!

There is a "Moore & Spence" Architects in Ft. Myers, which would make this WAYJ. It sounds like he's saying Spince or Spintz, but there's nothing that pops up in Google that way. Was FL your PTA?

I dunno if this is a good idea or not, but why don't you try sending the audio clip(s) to those stations that you believe might be what you received- perhaps someone can positively identify? Just a thought.

Florida was the skip area, Jeff. I Googled every conceivable spelling ( including the one you posted ) and got no reasonable hits at all. And WAYJ just might be one of my biggest FM Es pests. At least that resolves an unID - even if it's a relog, it's now a closed issue.
Cary, I generally don't QSL on FM at all, and I wouldn't want to impose on station personnel's time for something like this. That's why I'm glad we have this facility to post them and let other DX'ers in the area solve them. Randy's resolved a few for me already from some clips I sent him in addition to those I posted.
Thanks to you both!

Hi Russ, I googled "Moore & Spence Architects" too and Ft Myers came up as #1. That was easy :)

Well, I just went back and checked my log notes. I never got "Moore" out of it. I was looking for "Lord & Spence" or "Nord & Spence". I did do a FL YP search on line too, looking for the Architect category, but I think I got so many results that I gave up on that avenue.
