Here's a few recent meteor signals near ID maybe someone can recognize. A couple is from early on Oct 22. Has a distinctive jingle weather report sounds like "I'm meteorologist ... from the weather channel" and something "94".. maybe someone can recognize this? Lows in the low to mid 50's, can't be too far north.
and "The station that plays the legends 93-9" something
And from Oct 19 sounds like "93.9 Light Music" but I don't see any slogans that would match.

The October 19th one is DEFINITELY one of the stations I used to work for, 93.9 WYEC - Kewanee, IL.
I'll attach a liner, so you can compare.

Excellent! What sounded like "light music" is now clearly "YEC" Thanks Chris.

Two looooong burns on 93.9 over 60 seconds each with multiple stations. At 5:06am there's a mention of New York City, but that could be anything? and towards the end a traffic report for Southfield Road and another street name I cannot make out. Maybe Southfield Road in Southfield, MI? ( Suburb of Detroit) I looked at a map but couldnt find any crossroads that sounded like the second street name. Would CIDR Windsor, ON do traffic reports for across the border?
I get CIDR at 834 miles all the time with Yes.com song matches. Yet to get a good solid ID on em tho so not to concerned about this audio unless someone else can find something better in it.
The second audio I hear a mention of McCook so probably KSWN McCook, NE at 1041 miles. Anyone else hear anything good in it?
And the third is an interesting rock liner "From Cradle to Stage.. Birthplace that Rocks" anyone recognize this?? It's got to be either
KZRD Dodge City, KS or KSPQ West Plains, MO. That's it for classic rock on this freq in Ms range. Unless it's over 1200 miles!

Randy, I hear at least one Michigan reference in your first clip. Probably CIDR?
I do hear McCook in your second clip. Not many of them around - bet it's KSWN.
Not sure on the third - never heard that phrase!

I'm not positive on the Michigan, it could be CIDR or WAVC, I've logged both several times via Ms so tossing that one.
For the rock "liner" I emailed the station I suspected and this is the reply:
HOLY COW!!!!
That's got to be an anomaly!! Must have been a few other stations between
here and there that are off the air this morning. That can sometimes create
a broadcast channel, but I've NEVER heard of one that long!!!

Soooooo he never said yes this is our station but by his response I'll say it was.
93.9 KSPQ West Plains, MO 100kw 544 miles. I suspect I'll log em with a better id in the future since this is my most DXed frequency for Ms.
Got a couple more near id's this morning on 101.3 which is tough to Dx normally but tropo was down so I thought I'd try something new.
"This traffic report is brought to you by the Virginia... good morning" and what sounds something like "Saint Lucia" to me and fades.
3 stations on 101.3 in Virginia. I suspect WWDE "2WD"
Hampton/Norfolk, VA 50kw as it's both the most powerful and the only one of the three in a larger city area which I assume would do traffic reports. Can anyone confirm this?
Then a nice burn at 6:04am that has 2 weather reports.. first sounds like "Barrian, Barnison" ... temperature will only be in the lower 80's??? I may be hearing that wrong.
Then another station mentioning what sounds like "Miller Easter" and rains should start to come to an end this evening... I don't know what happened to the end of the audio.. obviously I cut it off too soon. It's happened before with Wavepad.

The traffic reporter is mentioning traffic problems and one is on Michigan (Avenue ?) Could this possibly be WLIT Chicago? A traffic reporter (with bumper music in the background) during morning drive would rule out any non-urban stations. Just a thought......

I get "lower 40's" mnot "lower 80's". That could be VA.
On the other, it sounds more like "Nor'easter" as opposed to "Miller Easter", especially with the comment about the rains ending.
2WD seems reasonable but I can't confirm it. Nor can I confirm whether or not Norfolk or Va Beach use state names for street names.

Believe the one with the traffic report is indeed CIDR. Mentions of Michigan and Southfield and the leadin by the male announcer shows a decided Ontario-E Manitoba accent.
I also hear "McCook" probably twice in #2.

Thanks guys!
Some decent burns this morning Oct 26. How about this one, a short Spanish burst on 99.1 sounds like mentioning Dallas. There's a Spanish station in Denton, a suburb KFZO "La Kalle".
