Colorado is a tough state to pull tropo on analog tv & fm, but even tougher to get DTV signals to decode that aren't locals. Early this morning, 6-02-08, there was some modest tropo from the eastern Plains of Colorado, stretching down into Texas. Please note the attached APRS image from this morning.

The Colorado Springs dtv's, at 109 miles south of my qth, were showing signals on DTV 10, 24, & 42. KKTV-HD-11-1 (11-2, 11-3) <RF 10> was the only one that came up strong enough to decode and get some pictures. It isn't longhaul tropo like guys on the East coast and in the Midwest pull in, but like I said, tropo is a tough state to get any tropo. I'm not 100% certain that any of those channels are running full power yet.

Jim,
Good stuff. I know what you mean. The wind here in Oklahoma makes it difficult also.
