Mauritania 1250 mile Highband Tropo in Portugal

Received Mauritania Channel E10 (210.25 MHz Video 215.75 MHz Audio)

After mid morning here Morocco switch their transmitters on,they use
offset channels & Rabat which is in almost the same direction
is at 211.25MHz with video and wipes it out,

Picture below of where I suspect the transmitter is that I'm receiving.
right on the coast.The country does go further north & nearer me
but it's all inland & this path is all across water.

They don't reply to e mails unfortunately,the website does confirm a
transmitter there at Nouadhibou fed via satellite.

That is an outstanding tropo reception. How often do you see this signal? Is it often this strong?

Hi,it's not very often that strong but if Hepburn is "reddy pink" in that
direction then it can be there.Now it's in but very weak.

I believe S.E.Australia to New Zealand is a similar type distance and highband
+ Uhf reception is possible when conditions are right.
