Hi
Signals have been coming in from N America since 07.15 GMT here.
Nothing really identified yet but this testpattern + tone were in at 10.20GMT.
I think zero offset & would have been probably from the Northeast
somewhere.
There was a long commercial type presentation on 55.260 MHz floating in
and out with the testpattern.
There's a rectangle in the middle with presumably an id.
Would WGBH Boston be likely to be on testpattern at this time?

Hugh

Wow....skip from N America at that time of the morning.....
No Hugh, I checked the WGBH schedule and they run 24 hours. I could have said Cuba, but their TPs (color bars similar to your photo) have no ID in them, and clearly it's there.
Do you remember that chA3 clip you sent a few weeks ago, that had the Canadian National Anthem? It's possible that it was a CBC station in Canada, maybe the same one that mentioned Bathurst & Charlottetown (which turned out to be the chA2 in Moncton, New Brunswick...........Unfortunately, CBC's website will not download its schedule for me. www.cbc.ca ....maybe it will work later.
Maybe someone in Canada could tell you if the TP matched CBC....Something tells me that text in the TP reads "CBC TV".

Oops----sorry...the Moncton A2 was CTV, not CBC. And it looks like CTV is 24 hours as well.

Hi CD
I'm leaning a bit towards Canada now.CTV Ch 2 Maritime Province was
in with breakfast TV around half an hour ago,an hour or so after the testpattern.
I've got it on tape and will put a video on youtube later, not much to see
really though!
Certainly an hour before this a ham around 50 miles west of me
was getting into the Catskills area of New York State.
A guy in Scotland was getting A2 carriers around 0530 GMT(I never know
if to say GMT or UTC these days!!).
Mike B in CT had 48.250 E2 around midnight GMT last night.

Hugh

Hmmmm....I never thought of visiting Portugal for vacation, buuuuuuuut.....
CTV Maritimes' website had a schedule that looked like it was 24 hours. Maybe there was a TP because of technical difficulties.

Put another video on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7e7RrDT678
This was recorded just before the testpattern at around 0955 UTC
with +10KHz offset.
The testpattern video now has the "watch in higher quality" option
avilable to the lower right of the screen.Seems to take several
hours to appear & then it won't work first of all.Makes the rectangle in the
middle a bit easier to see.
