This is an English guy who isn't very well known
He worked for EMI in the 1930's and had a patent on stereo recording
in the early 1930's.There's test recordings he made at Abbey Road
studios (where the Beatles recorded 30 years later).though it wasn't really
practical to produce stereo discs at that time.
He went on to work on the UK 405 line TV system in the mid 30's
& then radar in the 1940's during WW2 till he died in a plane crash.

Interesting program,an hour long-Click on the "listen again" button.
Listen again will only be there for a week from 2nd August.
