Great Tropo for DTV (IN)

A full morning of very good tropo led to ATV/DTV stations from IL, OH, KY, TN, VA and WV. I was able to log seven new DTV stations. Log total at 153.

I live 7 miles west of Benton. Ground elevation is about 500 ft asl.
Just started DTV DXing on 5/23/08 so the new ones are fairly easy to find when the tropo is in.
UHF is a 7 ft parabolic at about 25 ft. VHF is about 18 ft up. Pre-amp is Channel Master 7777.
Hope to get the antennas up higher (40 to 50 ft) as soon as the WX cools off.
FWIW logged WIPX-DT 27 (63) Bloomington, In. 212 mi, this morning for DTV #166.

First started TV DXing, when I was a little kid, back in the early 60s. I lived near Trenton, N.J. and only logged about 100 stations from there.
Started DXing from this location in Aug 89. Went at it real hard for 9 years and logged over 1000 stations. Had to take the TV tower down, to work on the house, in Aug 98. Got sidetracked by satellite TV, Ham Radio and lack of good TV antennas so didn't DX much for almost 10 years. Only added 17 new stations, to the log, from Aug 98 'til May 08. Friend loned me a DTV box and got me back into TV DXing. I'm hooked, again. Can't wait 'til it cools off and I can get the antennas back up above the roof and trees.

My only E-skip DTV is everyone's favorite, KOTA-DT. It's almost a pest here. Saw it several times this Summer. I'm hoping to add some new ones via meteor scatter during the current Persieds meteor shower. BTW the peak day for this shower is Aug 12 in the early morning. Has anyone received DTV via meteor scatter yet?
Speaking of E-skip....had a couple of stations (both channel 2 analog) around 1:15 this morning. Kinda late for E-skip but there they were. One was CBS (mountain time zone feed) and the other was PBS. Didn't ID either of them. (probably already in the log anyway) Lasted too long to have been meteor scatter.
FWIW... logged DTV #167 about an hour ago. WVUT-DT 52 (22) Vincennes, In. 132 mi. Been trying to get this one for 2 1/2 months!
