Received this station from Waterloo Iowa this morning at 06:29 EDST. I have a very sub-optimal set-up (FT-757GXII with a 10 foot indoor random wire, Sony XDR-F1HD with supplied loop). I am located in FN20jg which is in SE PA north of Philly. Is this a good catch? Or should I expect this station typically at that hour of the morning? I am assuming the later since my set-up is far from a DX station. Please let me know.

Thanks
John

I received KXEL in Portugal at 06.30 UTC with an id briefly yesterday morning.
Would think judging by your distance this should be a fairly "normal" type
catch at that time of the morning.Listen again on other mornings & see
if it's there.

Anytime you hear a station for the first time, it's a good catch! ;)

I suspect that you'll hear them again though, they put out a good signal.

Yes, thanks to both of you. A local DX'er informed me this is a common signal here in the morning. I did hear it this morning also along with KMOX.

Also, heard CIAO 530 kHz from Ontario CA this morning.

All new one's for me!!
