My spies tell me this transition has happened as advertised.
I can't verify this myself as the ice storm has crushed my VHF antenna.
Fear not, fans of the parabolic antennas, the 7 footer survived the storm.

I am curious about this, regarding a certain instance. During the week of Christmas, the wife and I were in Missouri west of St. Louis, visiting her family. We helped them get set up for the digital signals from St. Louis, as well as central Missouri. They now have a CM 4228 pointing E-NE (St. Louis) and a small corner reflector pointing NW (Columbia-Jefferson City).

A few days after we did the initial scan on their new LCD TV, we ran an update to see if there was anything we missed. The weather had really warmed up with an approaching cold front, so there was some tropo at the time.

In addition to having KOMU-DT 8 Columbia MO already in the channel list, the 4228 snagged WSIU-DT (140 miles away) and remapped it to channel 8. So it appears the channel assignment for the "switch off" for WSIU-DT 40 had not yet happened yet. In the channel line-up, we had two 8-1's, two 8-2's, one each of 8-3 & 8-4 (WSIU-DT subs). I guess they won't be seeing WSIU-DT any more, now that they are also on 8.

WSIU-DT is now on channel 8. I saw it a few minutes ago.
WUSI-DT is still on channel 19. FCC info indicates they're gonna stay on 19.
