Not as strange as u may think. Often, a practical joker working at a cable company, sometimes trying to gain notoriety, will slip in something inappropriate.

If I were investigating, I'd start with Comcast.

Way back maybe in the 70s, at a time when there were generally only 12 cable channels, including a local "barometer/thermometer gauge" that was on camera at the cable company (since there was no weather channel), I seem to recall reading a story where an employee stuck a Playboy magazine over the barometer or something. I think it lasted over an hour b4 a report was called in.

I still remember the 1971 WTFDA Convention in East Lansing MI, when at one point some of us were watching the Cable TV system. One of the channels was dubbed, by those of us who were present, as "Cockroach Theatre" - it was thermometer/barometer channel and there were roaches crawling all over those meteorological instruments...
