From the tropo morning of Jan 12 I have these two... A 93.5 country station with jingle "Real Country, Pure Country", the only ID I got out of them during the 3 songs worth that it was in. Tropo was running mainly Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, strongest along the Gulf as far as Houston but also making into Arkansas and Tennessee
Also this news/talk on 107.1 with what sounds like "AP Radio News" while beaming west.
I thought perhaps this could be KSAP-LP in Port Arthur, TX but it's only 41 watts in the 435 mile range and 100kwatts is showing it silent. Likely due to Hurricane Rita, but many of the stations knocked off the air by the hurricanes are now back up but still showing silent.

Nothing even close on 100000watts.com for the 93.5. Nothing useful at all on the 107.1 clip.

tropo this morning out over the Gulf resulted in some unid'ed Spanish signals before work around 7am. None of the signals lasted more than a few minutes and I had to leave just after 8 but left TotalRecorder running on 101.7 through the afternoon.
The 107.7 I suspect either KXTM Benavides, TX 50kw about 715 miles (no slogan or website in 100kwatts, Reg'l Mexican format)
or maybe XHXAL Xalapa, Veracruz 30kw 990 miles "RTV Radio Mas" I hear something that sounds like ".... Mas" but maybe not?
The 93.9 I'm pretty sure is XHTXA which is 15kw 936 miles mixing with WMTM Moultrie, GA 177 miles off the back null. I hear what sounds like "Tuxpan, Veracruz" about halfway into the audio.
The 101.7 is probably XHTR or XHTD which were both in later in the afternoon but I hear "capital de pais, ciudad de Mexico" so maybe XEX? Or is it a national broadcast? if XEX it's 100kw 1090 miles with part of the path over some mountains.
Thanks for lending your ears. :)

I hear pretty much what you heard. No way I can tell with my meagre Spanish what the context of the mention of the "ciudad de Mexico" is - local or national. Hopefully Jim can enlighten us.

In the 107.7 clip female announcer says, "En Radio Más, solo es estacion cien siete" and into another song. Translated, "More Radio <Radio Más>, this is the only one on 107"
In the 93.9 clip, at 12 seconds into the clip, the male announcer says, "noventa tres punto nueve, el sonido del calor" - "93 point 9, you're listening to the Heat <calor>" and I also hear "...en Tuxpan, Veracruz..." about halfway through the clip.
There is no 'clarifying' statements in the 101.7 clip that identifies 'where' the signal is originating from. The announcer at about halfway through says "..desde es nacional...<???>...en la Ciudad de México..." At any rate, that particular mention is the 'liner' for a national news network from Mexico City.
The announcer at the beginning is saying that the temperatures there are going to be warmer than they have been. Not much else to go on.

Thanks again Jim! I hear the slogan better in the 107.7 now. This makes a new all time record for tropo at 990 miles :) Perhaps the 1000 mile can be achieved. This area is the furthest land across the Gulf. It's rather interesting how often it comes in. I've yet to hear shorter distances to Yucatan or Cuba via tropo.
