Group;
I am seeking your assistance on a problem that has arisen with my IC-R70 (I didn't find any sort of trouble shooting or repair forum on WTFDA so I thought I would pose my question here))..When tuning in the WWV out of Colorado to check UTC, I find it is on 9.000.0 instead of 10.000.0 Other than that, the radio seems to be functioning as it should and receiving signals where it should for various SW and MW stations.
Any suggestions??
Thanks;

Is it ONLY on 9 mHz., or is it also on 10 ( and even 11 ) mHz ?

Russ;
Thanks for your reply;
I talked to a very knowledgable fellow on the R70's and here was his response;

A known "quirk" of the R70 is its tuning at the lower band edges. That is, tuning exactly to 10.000 MHz (as indicated by the display), the radio is really tuned to 10.999 MHz (and there's likely nothing there). This only occurs when the radio is within 1.5 kHz of a band bottom. I'll bet if you tuned to 10.001.6+ MHz, you'll hear WWV. The fact that you are picking it up on 9.000 MHz is the same issue...that is, tuned exactly to 9.000 MHz is really 9.999 MHz (because it's less that the 1.5 kHz above 9.000 MHz). I'll be that if you tuned to 9.002 MHz, you'd lose WWV-----

I tried it and he was correct---as usual..:) so all is well but thanks anyway.
