Monday afternoon ( 1/16 ) I was running unattended recordings on 88.3. In reviewing these last night while on the road, I discovered a 90-second burst of country music - no announcements at all.
One possibility Dave suggested is KABF-AR which runs a mix of jazz, blues and country. I've heard them at least twice previously during major Es openings, and it seems plausible enough given the paths open on the 6m maps a bit later.
The clip is attached, and I've sent an inquiry email including the clip to the station - not really seeking a verification, which I haven't done on FM, but more to satisfy my curiosity and to perhaps at least detemine if the unID might have been them.
The antenna was aimed at 340 degrees, and WBGO-NJ was barely audible - by intent - both before and after.
