This opening totally caught me off guard. I couldnt get a good heading on the DX due to rapid fading/mixing. I thought at first Dominican Republic with the earlier six meter reports of Puerto Rico into Florida strong. It took 20 minutes into the opening before I figured out where the Es was coming from when Matt and Dave looked up the 94.3 "Radio Periodicos" as being San José, Costa Rica and reported back. Thanks guys! Unfortunately I lost the audio file of this station due to problem with Wavepad later but it did have the full ID with "Reloj". Having two tuners, recording with one and tuning for the next target with the other greatly improves the number of ID's.
Here's some of the audios. Muchas Gracias to Jim Thomas and Humberto in El Salvador with ID help!
5:22 101.3 unid Spanish ID recorded "something ciento uno punto tres" (speaking too fast for me) possibly Nicaragua or Guatemala - Humberto, Jim Thomas
5:20 90.3 TIRS "Radio Sinfonola" San José, Costa Rica 25kw 1426 miles (ID by Jim Thomas) jingle with "La Sinfonola" and then La Orden Radio Sinfonola"
5:24 103.3 weak Spanish talk, maybe an ID. I hear "Ciento" something at the beginning
5:27 88.9 Spanish ads, phone numbers, - announcer mentions several various Guatemala towns. One is Santa Apolonia, Chimaltenango, just west of Cd. Guatemala. Its probably the new station in Cd. Guatemala 20000 watts on 88.9, but I don't have the calls or slogan of the station. (Jim Thomas)
5:29 107.5 with mentions of El Salvador - Humberto's ID- Begin with a comment for a song related a "Cojutepeque en El Salvador", but follow a local new from Nicaragua, and for the voice's accent for sure this is Nicaragua.
Jim says: YNF3RS Managua NI 10000 "Radio Sandino" - variety programming. For some reason it wasn't in the listings from the Nicaraguan government.

Randy-
Listened to all the clips that you didn't already id. Here's what I heard-
101.3 SS Jan17 1722 is....
TGAM Flores (Petén) GT 10000 "Radio Maria"//103.3 - variety & Christian programming. Radio Maria is a network and TGAM calls apply to the Cd. Guatemala primary on 103.3 and all the repeaters in the network. I hear the announcer say Radio Maria twice in the clip.
90.3 SS Jan17 1717 is....
TIRS San José CR 25000 "Radio Sinfonola" - boleros & classical music.
103.3 SS Jan17 1724....
the voices are so low in the fm hiss that I can't make out what the words are.
88.9 SS Jan17 1727 is....
announcer mentions several various Guatemala towns. One is Santa Apolonia, Chimaltenango, just west of Cd. Guatemala. Its probably the new station in Cd. Guatemala 20000 watts on 88.9, but I don't have the calls or slogan of the station.
107.5 El Salvador Jan17 1729 is....
announcer is finishing a sports report with a game in El Salvador, whilst there is ranchera music in the background. Nothing much to go on, but good chance it is TGQUE Salamá (Baja Verapaz) GT "FM Quetzal" 5000 - ranchera-grupera.
103.7 SS Jan17 1753 is....
TGBM Cd. Guatemala 25000 "La Voz de la Buena Musica" - variety
radio spot at beginning mentions "...en Ladea...", which is a suburb of Cd. Guatemala
95.3 SS Jan17 1800 is....
First station is...
HRRC Tegucigalpa HN 10000 "Radio Capital" - I hear the announcer say 'Radio Capital' at least once in clip. (the "samonos" you hear is 'Sabados' = Saturdays, which is an announcement about their programming)
Second station is...
TGRV Cd. Guatemala GT 25000 "Radio Viva" - ac Christian music. I hear the Radio Viva once in the clip.
This clip DOES NOT include Nicaragua. Next clip does.
95.3 Nicaragua Jan17 1802 is....
YNF3LL León NI 250 watts "Radio Doble LL Stéreo" - ranchera, with ads for Managua and León.
88.7 SS Jan17 1813 is....
religious programming - announcer talking about a man and his quality of life with his family. Probably Radio Reloj, Tegucigalpa HN
93.9 SS Jan17 1822 is....
YNF3RT Managua NI 10000 "Radio Tigre" - ranchera-grupera-cumbia.
I hear 'Tigre' twice in the clip.
94.3 SS Jan17 1824 is....
TG-- Quetzaltenango GT 10000 "Fama 94.3" - marimba-salsa-tropical.
There are a couple references to 'Quetzal' in the clip - the shortened version of the full name. Usually the nickname pronounced for Quetzaltenango is 'Xela' (pronounced shay-lah), but occasionally they say 'Quetzal'.
91.9 SS Jan17 1828 is...
TIRP Puntarenas CR 5000 "Radio Puntarenas" - variety.
The announcer says 'Radio Puntarenas' quickly, coming up out of the fade at about 50 seconds into the clip. Its said so quickly I didn't catch it the first time through.
101.9 SS Jan17 1830 is...
not 100% sure - but it might be TIUCR San José CR 10000 "Radio U"//University of Costa Rica - variety. Really not enough there to draw a strong conclusion.
89.7 SS Super Cadena Jan17 is....
TGSC Cd. Guatemala 25000 "Super Cadena" (primary signal for the Super Cadena network) - news-information-sports.
I should mention that rarely will you hear the call letters on a Guatemala or Costa Rican station anymore. The Guatemalan government doesn't have any requirements for announcing the calls - more so a 'gentlemen's agreement' to announce them once per hour, near the top (but they don't have to).
Costa Rica only requires calls mentioned at sign on and sign off - thats it. The rest of the time its the radio station name (slogan).

88.7 SS Jan17 1813 is....
religious programming - announcer talking about a man and his quality of life with his family. Probably Radio Reloj, Tegucigalpa HN
.
Jim! Nice work! Are you sure you are not fluent in Spanish?? :o
As mentioned earlier a station on 88.7 keyed RDS with "GLOBO FM"
This one brings me back to a recording during a nice Es opening from September 5, 2005. Its clear to me at 1:00 minute into the audio "Radio Globo de Honduras en el Internet"... I guess this is a national program? This would also be "Radio Reloj" Tegucigalpa?
I found this website:

107.5: Begin with a comment for a song related a "Cojutepeque en El Salvador", but follow a local new from Nicaragua, and for the voice's accent for sure this is Nicaragua.
101.3: This is Nicaragua too. At the beggining they gave a telephone "8440080 en Jinotegua". This number is not for for the station.
101.9 Near the end there is an ID "....Mundo de la danza.... Miércoles y Viernes a las 8 de la noche Radio U, Ciento uno punto ...."
Nice catches

I finally found the 107.5 in Nicaragua that Humberto is talking about. It is....
YNF3RS Managua NI 10000 "Radio Sandino" - variety programming. For some reason it wasn't in the listings from the Nicaraguan government.
Regarding the 101.3, the station in Jinotega is either a religious station or a pirate. The government listings for licensed radio stations show no Jinotega fm on 101.3.
As I presumed, the 101.9 is "Radio U". Thank you Humberto for clarifying.

Thanks guys for all the efforts! I'd normally toss weak and difficult audio files aside if I can't figure something out on them with a minimal amount of research. I'm amazed that there is enough info on these audios to identify them. I'm impressed. With this many ID's this surprise late winter Es turns out to be one of the best openings caught into Central America. Nicaragua is new, 250 watts is a record for the lowest power heard on E skip, and many new stations logged. The 3 I have heard from Costa Rica before on 88.3, 88.7, and 91.5 didn't come up in this session although those 3 frequencies did have signals. My 4 most commonly logged Central Americans - 88.7 from Honduras, heard at least twice before, 89.3 "Cool FM" El Salvador, heard many times before, 89.3 "Radio Estrella" Guatemala, and 89.7 "Super Cadena" Guatemala both frequently heard are the only relogs. It's nice to have this forum!!
