Currently got "Television Cubana" in Spanish on ch 2 with negative offset with bursts of WESH I think.
The earlier reception with positive offset Today show I think would have been WCBD.

Surprised how "slick" Cuban TV sounds.Thought it would be more disinterested type monotone announcers.Maybe Raul is telling them to crank it up a bit??

Just think what dxers stateside might get a treat to, once the analogs have cleared the air. I think it might be exciting, rather than wishing that WESH, WPBT, KWGN, etc. analogs were still around.

WCBD Charleston, SC would be the + NBC.
this morning I've been receiving Portugal 48.242 TV carrier and some 48.250 here in far western Florida. Very weak, only detectable by tuning slightly off frequencies in SSB on the ham radio. TV ch 2 WUND North Carolina also in / out.

TV Cubana has gotten slicker by the minute, especially since the Internet. Still, they have no problem pirating US TV shows & movies (note the most recent photo of mine from Cuban TV in "Got TV DX?").

Have seen clips from "The Sopranos", EE w/ SS subtitles, on Cuban TV. No need to tell you what words were uttered. (Any- and everything that makes the US look like a cesspool, TV Cubana will display proudly, from what I have read.)

I got 2 invitations on YouTube, one from "cubanews", ostensibly after they saw the TV Yumuri clip.....blockeroo time.....

16.20-16.40 ch A2 TV Brasil, fair at times. This is their PBS network.Uploading a video to youtube.Much less ghosty than other TA signals.Faded out quite rapidly.More info on the network here, the streaming video works quite well.

Randy, you'd find this free program very useful "Spectrum Lab"
http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/spectra1.html

You connect the audio out of your radio to pc sound card
set the radio to ssb say 1KHz below 48.250 or 48.242 and you see the signals
as a trace very useful.Transmitter drift can be seen(Madrid moves around a little)

Attached jpeg shows typical afternoon tep last March. The line at 1100Hz is Madrid(300 miles away),time is on the vertical axis and at 19 seconds there's a little ms blip.
About 750 Hz is Cameroon,it has sidebands at 150Hz each side that are too strong, shoudn't look like that. The brighter the trace the stronger the signal.

Above Madrid is a noisy mess...pulsing in and out, this is a TV "carrier" from Equatorial Guinea. When a picture comes in always very liney/co channel looking.

You can see the traces long before anything heard as a vision buzz.
Initial setup of spectrum lab can be a little confusing.
