Here we go again!...Another off-season Es opening to Central America reaching 108MHz lasting 3 hours. Tom K4MM in Pt. St. Lucie, FL shared the opening and compared notes on the fly and he had Veracruz, Mexico area up to 108MHz. This opening was very similar to the one 10 days ago. Began with a check of the car at work around 3:15pm and found Spanish Es on the lower half of the FM band. Guatemala heard. I was home about 45 minutes later. TotalRecorder had been running on 101.7 looking west for meteors since 7am. No Ms ID's resulted but Es busted through about 3:40pm on that frequency with this station.
It has to be YSKT "Mil 80" San Salvador, El Salvador. I hear a website address I haven't been able to fully decipher but is definitely El Salvador with the ".sv" and the liner has "El Salvador" and a slogan with the "Mil" but no "Ochenta" heard. Maybe Humberto can confirm this one. Is this your local station?

A couple ID'ed stations thanks to internet listings and Jim Thomas , but much is not known about these.
106.9 Doble Vía never heard before, somewhere in Guatemala
I found this website: http://www.shery.net/
90.3 Radio Sultana Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, call, power unknwn, found on an internet list. There's a "Radio Comayagua" on this freq not far from this town. More congestion.
"88.7 "Occidental Stéreo" San Pedro (San Marcos), Guatemala 10kw 1117 miles, nice ID recorded - heard in December
103.3 TGAM "Radio Maria" Guatemala City, Guatemala pwr? 1120 miles, a nice ID recorded at the end of the file. The first station with classical music then ads must be YSTA "Radio Clasica" El Salvador

Here's the majority of the UNid's
The 102.5 is cut in three parts, received a few minutes apart from each other. English AC music and Spanish talk.
The 91.5 ought to be easy for Jim. He has the big list :) ..... Baja Verapaz mentioned. I hear "San Jose" in there to so probably "Radioactiva" Costa Rica 1426 miles.
94-3_1612.mp3 is at least 2 stations over a 2 minute period. At 01:38 there is an ID of "Doble" something in Guatemala.

more misc. unid's
94-7_1658.mp3 , poor audio due to recording with microcasette
94-3_1659.mp3 Super Cadena, Guatemala repeater?
88-3_1719.mp3 is likely the "Love FM" repeater in Punta Gorda, Belize 999 miles, has the monotone audio mixing with the other station, same heard on August 27 on Es.
88-7_1729.mp3 Radio Reloj, Tegucigalpa, Honduras?
89-7_1746.mp3 Super Cadena?

93.9_1545 was recorded on the car radio with a microcasette while driving. I hear one station mentioning Chimaltenango and another with what sounds like "93-9 Sud Occidente"
106.9_1614 might be "Doble Via" Guatemala, but perhaps something else?
Maybe Radio Guanaca - San Salvador SV.. news/sports/music ??
94-3_1812 was the last significant signal heard

101.7 Mil 80....
Website is definitely for Mil 80. I clearly hear the 'punto ehss veh' (--.sv), but I can't get a fix on the entire web address - I guess my SS isn't that good.
101.7 1543 & 101.7 1544....
Same station - TG-- Flores (Pet) GT 10kw 'Decatex'?? "...de su Decatex' - Decatex is the slogan for the station, just not sure the spelling. I have no other information on this station, than what the GT SIT is giving me.
101.7 1558....
musc is a ranchera/salsa/tropical blend - not Mil 80 (which plays youth chr). Flores (Pet) GT station?? Pizza commercial with Wednesday special - ph#, but no city or town in radio spot.
106.9 Doble Via....
Doble Via is the 'other' slogan used by Radio Internacional, Cd. Guatemala.
TGII Cd. Guatemala GT 25kw 'Radio Internacional' - variety programming.
Ph#s at station are 502-2289-5070 & 502-2289-5072. Look at the 'Doble Via' ph# on the shery.net site - # matches the 5072 listing.
90.3 Radio Sultana....
HR-- Santa Rosa de Copan HN 1kw 0 variety programming
103.3 1657....
YSTA San Salvador SV 10kw "Radio Clasica"
TGAM Cd. Guatemala GT 25kw "Radio Maria" (primary)
94.3 1612....
somethings wrong with the file Randy - isn't marked as an mp3 and will not open
104.5 1630....
just music? I have two GT choices but not sure which is classical
102.9 1636....
nothing that gives a clue (slogan or geographical reference)
102.5 1641....
same reply as previous
91.5 1648....
3 stations fighting it out-
94.7 1658....
"noventa quatro siete..." (94-7) with ranchera music.
Two 10kw choices in GT.
94.3 1659....
see 91.5 1648 - "Stéreo Salamá" is the ONLY Super Cadena affiliate on 94.3
88.3 1719....
??
88.7 1729....
can't tell if it fits Radio Reloj
89.7 1466....
radio mentions twice "en Antiguo...", which is 'old town' Cd. Guatemala.
TG-- Cd. Guatemala GT 'Super Cadena' (primary) - news-talk
94.3 1812....
file will not open - bad file extension
93.9 1545....
TG-- Quetzaltenango (QUE) GT 10kw "93.9 Sur Occidente" <south west> - variety programming
second most likely is TG-- Chiquimulilla (SRO) GT 10kw "Estéreo Pulsar" - merengue-reggaeton-salsa
94.7 1702....
TG-- Coatepeque (QUE) GT "Coatepeq" (Furia Musical Stéreo affiliate//91.3)
I hear the tail end of the Furia Musical Stéreo slogan right at the beginning of the clip as its coming up out of the fade. I've listened to Furia via the internet and am familiar with their slogan.
94.3 1704....
TG-- Quetzaltenango (QUE) GT 10kw "Bomba 94.3" - marimba-salsa-tropical//SS-EE
94.3 1705....
"Bomba 94.3" - I hear the "Bomba" phrase they typically use.
87.9 1706....
pirate is in Suchitepequez - don't have a listing for it.
87.5 1707....
an indigenous language. Tried to translate it to SS - couldn't do it - certain words that don't match SS

Thanks again Jim! It's amazing how many FM's are crammed into those little Central American countries. Seems to be a much higher concentration that Mexico. I'm finding that Es to Mexico is always accompanied with multiple TV 2-6 , often strong, but with sparse FM's and then quite the opposite to Central America. This summer... double hop Es for you to Central America. It's coming!
