The first one is a channel 2 nightlight with a bug I'm unfamiliar with. I haven't seen this one. Any idea who it is?

**note: these are video files and will take a little time to load.

Unid nightlight ch2 (http://www.wtfda.info/files/video/unid2nl070609.MPG) seen around 8:30pm

Next is an unid Mexican (http://www.wtfda.info/files/video/mex2-070609.MPG) seen on ch2 around the same time as the clip above.

The last unid is baseball in Spanish (http://www.wtfda.info/files/video/ch2bb070609.MPG) on ch2 seen within minutes of the previous two stations. We think it's Cuba stealing an MLB game from NESN, because Jeff and I saw "NESN-HD" flash on the screen for a second.

Amazing what's oh ch2 now with most of the analogs gone....

Any help would be appreciated, especially the nightlight. and the Mexican :-)

A Cuban-accented baseball thing has been in here a couple of times on Ch 2, with different audio offsets. It's never been clear enough on my 5" b&w "monitor" kinescope to make out any team names, etc. I know that it's been the same playing field at least twice - and the background PA announcements all sounded like Spanish.

Mike,

On the nightlight 2, I'd lean toward WFMY in NC. They are still on, per FCC, & the logo is as close as could be... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WFMY-TV

No clue as to the Mexican 2, but that would be 2Es for ya if indeed it's Mexico.

Now....as to the baseball....are you certain it was MLB baseball? I can tell ya that as much as I have monitored Cuban TV, and being certainly possible that they could pirate MLB games, I'd rule out Cuba. I've never seen an MLB game on Cuban TV, AND, if they did show it, it would only give incentive for more defections here! (Believe me, I've seen Cuban games, and the crowds are next to nil....they'd love to play before tens of thousands, not to mention the $$$.)

I went to some websites of some Latin American 2's, but none carry "las grandes ligas" that I know of. I've seen MLB on RPC TV in Panama, and Televen in Venezuela, but of course neither of those are on ch 2. The only other theory is TV Marti, which feeds MLB, but they are not authorized for ch 2. Your guess is as good as mine.
