TVes?

Is it possible I was seeing a TVes feed on channel 3? Info indicates it should be channel 2. Do the Cubans "borrow" TVes programming?
I've gotta get a bigger monitor for E-skip viewing. The 9 inch B&W monitor is too small to see those tiny network logos.

Good news: TVes is on ch 2 in Caracas & Maracaibo, and on ch 3 in at least 2 cities there. Seem 'em both.

Could be Cuba borrrowing, but I doubt it. Often they use the satellite channel Telesur for their Chavez info.

Cool! It would be my first Venezuelan TV DX. Now, if I can just figure out which channel 3 it was. I'll have to check my notes and do a bit more research.

Looks like there are three channel 3's in operation. I neglected to make a note of the offset. I'll take better notes the next time it shows up.
cd, while I'm at it...In my notes I show a channel 5, plus offset, with what looked like a "Tele Ver" logo. (note to self, get a bigger monitor, asap) Can't find it on Danny's site. (thanks for reminding me about it, BTW) Any ideas?

Actually, I got Tele Rebelde 4 from Cuba the other evening, and they went to a soccer program, and included the TVes logo in the upper right.

As for TVes on channel 3, I know RCTV had relays on 3 as well, and would guess that those relays would have become TVes when they replaced RCTV on channel 2 in Caracas.

I haven't put it in the logbook, yet. I'll keep watching and gathering info before I make an official log entry.
DTV is so much easier. :-)
BTW... has anyone else noticed a BIG increase in meteor burst activity? Now that I have an uncluttered channel 2 (no more WKRN & KTVI) I'm seeing a LOT of meteor burst.

XHAJ-5 was a XHGC Canal Cinco relayer until not long ago, so I just haven't added the tele ver switch to my site yet.
