When analog went away, I hooked up my old B&W portable, and connected it to my rooftop rig to see if I could get any DX. I thought for sure I'd at least get Mexico or Canada.

I hadn't been getting anything, until today around 10AM CDT, when I got rolling bars on 2. I fine tuned it, and was getting a 2+ from the NW. I thought this was Canada, but then an infomercial with a US number popped in for a second. Another DXer in another forum also confirmed seeing it.

I looked at the FCC site, and the only commercial 2+ to my NW is KVNJ-LP Fargo, ND, a translator for KCPM-DT Grand Forks, ND. I checked Zap2it, and they were running infomercials at the time. BTW, it's only 1.13kW, at 905 miles!

Hi Chris,
Welcome to the forum.
Now that the full power Stateside clutter is gone many DXers are seeing the "flea power" stations. Keep an eye out for KREX DTV 2 (5) Grand Junction, CO. 800 watts, CBS, 1100 miles from here. I've seen it a couple of times and so have others in our area.

I'm getting it again today, stronger that ever, with some CCI.
