What do you guys think about DTVPal for DXing? Digital to analog box with built in DVR. A DVR with no monthly fees. Strictly OTA. I wonder how well it scans.

Although I haven't read *all* of the posts on AVS about the DTVPal and DTVPal Plus, almost everything I have read is bad. I think Ed Phelps and Steve Rich know someone who has used the DTVPal and did not like it.

Sometimes, products that consumers like are not suited to the needs of DXers. This is one device that nobody seems to like very much.

Yeah thats kinda what I'm reading also. It's too bad. A good box with a DVR feature would be a big plus.
