Hello everyone,
I am Joshua from Buffalo, NY. I have always been interested in picking up regional stations, including ones from Toronto and Erie, using indoor antennas. Through various websites, including this forum, I have learned that I can receive farther stations with the right equipment and atmospheric conditions.
I am leaning towards purchasing a rooftop antenna for VHF/UHF TV DXing. However, I am concerned about interference from a full-powered FM station located only a half of a mile away. I understand that this probably makes me unable to receive Channels 2 through 6, since they are too close to the FM band. Would I be able to pick up Channels 7-13 with an HLSJ or FM trap?
If I cannot use VHF, I hopefully have a better chance with UHF. I have a couple of LP stations 4-5 miles away. Most of the full-powered stations are about 15 miles away, though in various directions.
