Hi

Does anyone know the carrier frequency for USA DTV Ch5? I know the old analogue was on 77.25 Mhz.

Why do I wish to know?.....Well I'd like to DX for KVZK-TV American Samoa & they are moving to DTV Ch5.

76.31MHz.

The frequency limits of TV channels don't change with digital -- A5 was 76-82MHz in analog and it still is in digital. However, in digital the carrier is 0.31MHz into the channel, vs. 1.25+/-0.01MHz for analog.

Does F layer skip ever get up that high, or are you trying for lots of tropo hops?

We regularly receive American Samoa via double hop Es. So, you never know, I may score hearing a weak carrier on my Icom receiver.
