It's time again for me to visit the websites of every channel 2 - 6 in the US to update the logo maps. This year (to commemorate my return to the DXing scene), I've redesigned the maps... there is now a screen version and a printable version (though it's still kinda big).
You'll notice that the Caribbean is now included, those stations will be added once I become more familiar with latin american TV. Also and by popular demand, offsets are now included in the maps. Overall legibility is improved, too.
Right now, channel 2 is up. I'll go up to channel 6 over the next few weeks... not sure if 7 will be updated. Lemme know what you think!

The problem I have, and it might just be my own computer, is that the logos are set against a black background, with faint dark grey lines to show the outlines of the land masses. Am I the only one who sees it this way?
At least the old version had light blue water against light gray land masses.
Just one observation and I don't mean to be picky. ;)

Mike,
I "copied" the background of Ryan's maps (which has the logos embedded) and they are large format jpeg images, meaning, the way Ryan has them designed, is the way anyone is going to see them, regardless of their computer. I dumped the background image into my graphic design software (size is something like 27" X 27") and the color and outline you describe is the way it is designed.
I suppose Ryan would have to redesign his map (colors), if he thought it was necessary.

If the land/sea/border colors need to be changed, I could do it without much trouble. I made it easy for myself because they need to be changed for the printable maps (white on med-gray), which by the way are 22" wide.
The design mimics white border/ black BG WX maps (like Bill's tropo maps), only a faint gray color is used for land masses. I keep the contrast on my CRT monitors pretty low, so I assume that any color difference I can notice here will be much more noticible to the average user. The end result is that the logos, call letters, power, etc. stand out a lot, making them more readable.
If you guys like, I could punch up the borders and apply a faint blue to the oceans for the channel 4 map.

Update #6 is done. Here's hoping a lot of DXers are gonna need it a lot this season! I plan to do channel 7's map and to add Central American/ Carribbean logos within a few months.
Comments? Corrections? You know who to call.

I'll use them plenty. Thanks. Personally though, I liked the old way the maps looked. I don't print them, but keep them saved on the PC and display on a 17" LCD monitor. The blue-green water and gray land background was just easier to use. But that's just me. The addition of the frequency offsets saved me a couple hours work off adding them myself. Thanks.
With E season underway, Ryan, you are going to see you will probably get more Es from Ft Myers to Mexico and Central America than you will to the USA. Some of the logo websites that I've found useful:
