A 3 minute video with the 2 ID's I had on 162 MHz plus some 2 meter SSB.
Extreme all day E skip. One of the best openings in the last 6 yrs.

WOW! What a great demo of skip reception! Looks like that opening went quite high MUF! It was a really good opening here in NY for FM and TV stuff too! Almost like the old days in the 80's when I started dxing. Hope this continues all summer! Thanks again for the great report! Mikey :D

Jeff Kadet in Illinois says he had Es up to TV ch 13 from Mexico.
I was stuck at work with the radio at home recording 93.9 until 4:30pm. I've never heard so many different stations in one day on one channel. This was one of the best Es events I've ever seen.

The map I colored in red shows states / countries FM stations were heard from on Es, (Yes I had my own state on Es again!) the bright purple are states that 144MHz or higher as well as FM Es was heard from.

Check out the APRS map from that evening!

With the multitude of 144-MHz Es events/paths going I probably spent 4-6 hours that day not even tuning 88-108 MHz! There were distinct events here 1600-1615z, 1730-1840z, 2000-2100z, 0000-0125z and much more elsewhere. This lot of Sherlock map captures is just a dip-in-the-bucket from that day. I'll try to upload a more-complete set of them (and APRS maps) sometime later. At one point (c. 1730z) I had 144-MHz Fla and at least 107.9 from Arizona in simultaneously. Luckily for me and my hand-rotated 2-m beam that western path never got to 144-MHz :)
