On June 24th at 2207Z (5:07pm CT) I managed to work Gary, CU2JT in the Azores on 6 meters.
I was located in central Jefferson County, Wisconsin at the time.
In my car on I-94. Running about 80 watts of Morse to a 4-foot loaded whip antenna, and travelling eastwards at about 110km/hr.
The attachments to this message include a photo of my mobile antenna, taken in Olbrich Park in Madison about an hour before this QSO; an audio recording of the QSO; and a map showing my approximate location in Jefferson County.
I'd be happy enough about working the Azores on 6 meters period, let alone mobile!
BTW, this contact has already been verified through the ARRL's Logbook of the World.
