Unid Ch. 5 weather map

These photos are of an unid 5 (Es) at around 12 pm CT on Tuesday, July 18th. It was recorded on the VCR while I was at work. The antenna was pointed North, but it could have been from anywhere. CKVR-3 was in at 10 am, and WDIV-4 and WIVB-4 were in at 11 am. I saw "Weather Update" and then this lady in front of this same map for at least a minute. The detail is a little better in the video, but I still can't make out any city names. It seems to be a state or region with a lot of lakes. Minnesota was my first thought, but the geography doesn't match up. Any ideas?

Jeff,

Looks to me like she's standing in front of a map of North America,
rather than a local or regional map. The map appears to be
adjusted such that Canada is a little more prominent than what
we'd see in the US. My guess is it's Canadian.

I looked at this thread last night and thought the same thing... Alaska, Hudson Bay, the northern Canadian islands, Greenland, and even Quebec are pretty easy to spot on there. I'd definately say Canada.

Its easier to see it on the small thumbnails vs the large pic.

I agree now it's Canada. What confused me is that there is a title bar that runs across the top of the screen that kind of looks like either land mass or lakes in black & white. Also, I don't quite see Labrador, but the girl is blocking Hudson Bay which was another obvious Canada feature. The question is, who shows a weather update for all of Canada at just before the noon hour? CBC network?
