The Poll question for this time is this:

If you have the RDS software on your computer and use it for DX'ing, do you capture shots of the screen for each RDS reception ?

My answer and comments later.

A qualified Yes, and I answered Yes without the possibility of answering "sometimes" which would have been my choice.

- If a catch is unusual, I'll do a screen capture (long distance Es, low power, a good Ms catch, etc.)
- If a station is running something wrong (bad PI, old call letters, etc.) I'll capture it so I remember all of the details to add to rdslist.com.
- And finally, some stations just run "interesting" RTs. KTZA Artesia NM has run one for a couple years that says... "If you can read this message, contact us and let us know"!

Normally I don't grab screen shots for garden-variety skip or Ms. This AM for example I came in to the office to KWMT (Tucson) on the Denon and a slew of data on the RDS Decoder. Didn't save any of it.

I posted this one as much because I was curious as anything else. I've tended to try to capture them as I see them - reflex action style, then I go through them later. I don't keep them all, but I'm probably keeping more than I really should.

Regular skip visitors or any unremarkable ones ( many of which are PI-only because that's either all they're sending or all I'm getting ) should probably get deleted at a better rate. But if I have no recorded ID, I'd save even a PI-only at least until I hear it with an ID or slogan.
