Bobs AM DX

Here are a couple of my best AM DX catches all using a Radio Shack DX- 398 and loop antenna. The 398 did have some modifications done at "Radio Labs" which I think really kicked it up a notch. Both clips were done last October 2005 in Harrisburg, PA. Recorded though “Total Recorder” Just goes to show that you that you do not need to be at a coastal area or have an expensive rig. Enjoy!

Those sounded great. I heard both of those last winter on my YB400 and I couldn't believe it! Now that 1314 is history at least we have airchecks to listen to. Too bad it's gone, because I'd leave the Kenwood on and just listen to that station through the speaker. It had a great variety of music.

A group of regional AM DX'ers have gathered annually for a DXpedition on Long Beach Island in NJ in November the past 5 years, and for the last few NRK-1314 was our favorite listening music as well. We'll miss it too !
