Hi,
I've been meaning to write an article on RDS for awhile (hi Russ :-)).
I just haven't had the time to do it. So I think I'll put some tidbits up here on the forums which may be helpful to others.
Check out the attached screen capture.
How many station are represented in the main display of RDS Decoder? It looks like one, but it's not. There are actually three stations here:
KDLO Watertown SD (the PS, RT, and CT)
KKMG Pueblo CO (the PTy)
KWFX Woodward OK (the PI)
It's possible - common even - for the PTy to reset without resetting the other data. Obviously, it's also possible for the PI to stay static through resets of the other data. So when reporting to sources like rdslist.com, be sure that you have "pure" data. Generally, I reset the main display each time I've captured what I need. I didn't do so this time and, well. you see the results of my Perseids Ms dxing, at least the RDS portion of it.
