Hey...at least it's something to liven up the board :)
DTV's (all MSP, 124 mi distant):
34 - KTCA-DT (New), PSIP decode, garbled picture
35 - KARE-DT, Now with WX Radar on Program 2
44 - KSTC-DT (New), Pix Decode
50 - KSTP-DT, Strong
ATV
2 - KTCA, Minneapolis, 124 mi, surprising on CM 4228 UHF bowtie
8 - WKBT, La Crosse, 190 mi, fadey after WDSE sign-off
11 - KARE, Minneapolis, 124 mi, in well
12 - KCCW, Walker, 102 mi, strong
14 - K14KH Minneapolis 124 mi, weak with 3ABN
15 - K15GT, Hibbing, (NEW!), only 52 mi!, B/W with Fox B/W at 0050 LT
18 - WQOW, Eau Claire, 142 mi - strong picture, but thanks to this junky TV's incredible selectivity, it only appeared for a few seconds as it couldn't lock it within the presence of the nearby DTV on 19 (and possibly 17, although that may be signed off)
22 - KAWB, Brainerd, 105 mi, one of the few PBS stations with a local newscast!!
23 - KMWB Minneapolis, OK
24 - W24CL Grantsburg, 64 mi, strong
25 - K25IA Minneapolis, 124 mi, new TBN (100 kW LP!) - old TBN 58 previously logged, but I think I'll count this as new
25 - Presumed WLAX, La Crosse, very weak, 209 mi
28 - WHWC Menomonie 121 mi, strong / color
29 - K29EB Grand Rapids, 65 mi // KQDS-TV
29 - WFTC Minneapolis 124 mi, decent with local news
31 - K31GH Hayward 68 mi, strong
32 - W32CV, Ironwood, 103 mi, strong but with bad DTV interference
34 - WYOW, Eagle River, seen weak ABC here, so must be it, 161 mi
36 - WLEF, Park Falls, 112 mi, strong
39 - K39GG, Aitkin, 75 mi, KQDS-TV CB's
41 - KPXM, St. Cloud, 117 mi, strong
45 - W45CI, Ashland, 71 mi, another new KQDS-TV xltr logging
45 - KSTC, Minneapolis, 124 mi, very strong
47 - K47IR, Virginia, 51 mi, NEW KQDS-TV translator. Possibly my shortest tropo DX ?
47 - KXLT, Rochester, decent, 216 mi
48 - Weak WEUX, Chippewa Falls, 129 mi
Isn't it strange how an analog station can be coming in with almost local quality, while the digital is struggling to meet the SNR threshold for picture decoding?
Picture is of KSTC - a crappy one, I know, saved the bad one and closed the WinTV-D window before saving the good. I was a bit excited to see KSTC-DT, as I thought they were running HDNet, but they only seemed to be doing 720 x 480 and mirroring KSTC-TV.
