The first is from 1360, right through my local.

The second is on 1520 in auroral cx, killing WWKB.

Any ideas? The frequency, date and time of the loggings are in the file name.

Thanks. Rick S. NWNJ

I hear on the 1360: "Evil Woman" by ELO then announcer says what sounds like "AM 1360 WPPH" but WPPA would have to be it with AC format. Pottsville, PA

The 1520 is Spanish. I hear what sounds like "Radio Dos or Radio Doble" and "1520 AM" at 00:39 and "Radio de Cuba" at 00:58.
I'm not positive though, it's what it sounds like to me.

I vote for "Radio Dos" on the 0:39 one. It has a Cuban sound to it, and while I didn't get "Radio de Cuba @ 0:58, I did get the "Cuba".

What about Radio Voz in Puerto Rico??

WVOZ AM 1520 in Puerto Rico is listed as "Mix 107" with hurban format. This wouldn't be it.

Where is that? Everywhere I look it is listed as Radio Voz and the 107.7 is a separate station. Are they now parallel? Barry's site has R. Voz listed as 1520.

I believe Rick's 1520 is Cuban. It has that distinctive "sound" to it. I could be wrong though. I searched the web for Cuban AM radio stations on 1520 and found none. Not unusual, I have logged a number of FM stations that are definitely Cuba with zero references online.

Oh well...

Hello all,
the station on 1520 ought not go in the UNID pile, there are clear IDs and references to "Cadena Radio Voz, en el 15-20...." an ad-hoc network for baseball. This one makes it to Europe as well.

Where's it from?

From Puerto Rico; this is WVOZ; I could transcribe a large chunk of what´s being said, if you wish.

Baseball coverage via Ch. 30 and radio.
Sec. 30: "Escucha por radio los juegos de los campeones del béisbol profesional de Puerto Rico, los ------- a través de la Cadena Radio Voz, en el 15-20 AM----" then follows a list of affiliates with frequencies and locations.

Previous attempts have failed. Here we go again:
WVOZ is in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico.
That´s the station with baseball on various stations and on ch. 30

I could not help but notice mentions of "canal treinta" (channel thirty) throught the 1520 clip.

The announcer sounds very much like one I've heard on Cuban 640 during beisbol games.
