Since the New Year brought Sinclair pulling The Tube off their digital stations, I thought I would post a graphical representation of how my local affiliate used to ID.

The Tube was a huge hit with FTA satellite enthusiasts before Sinclair began carrying it, when it was transmitted in the clear on Galaxy 10R Ku-Band, viewable to anybody with an FTA receiver and a 30" dish.
It's now on C-band and requires at least a six or seven-footer. I wonder if they'll survive Sinclair dropping them.

On AMC 3, but you need an MPEG-2 receiver with an AC-3 output to decode the audio.
I'm sure the channel is still on the cable systems here and other markets where it was dropped, so they'll still make money from those deals.

It looks like my original memorial can now be extended to the entire network. The following has been posted on The Tube's site (http://www.thetubetv.com/):
Dear friend of THE TUBE Music Network,
We regret to inform you of the fate that has befallen The Tube Music Network. October 1, 2007 The Tube ceased its national broadcast.
Viewers, Artists, Music Companies, Investors, Business Partners, TV stations, Cable companies, Advertisers , Friends and our creative partners @Radical Media - your support of The Tube has always been highly valued and appreciated. The collective efforts of this team, fueled by the letters we received from viewers, sustained THE TUBE as it struggled through the financial limitations that ultimately contributed to its incapacitated state.
Thank you for inviting The Tube Music Network into your life.
Sincerely,
The Tube Music Network staff

Here's what WNWO-24.2 showed between the loss of the Tube and its replacement with RTN

Since you didn't show us what it was, I guess it was nothing? :-)
WTXX-20.2 just duplicated what was already on 20.1. Now they've dropped 20.2.
Somebody better come up with another all-music channel soon or I'll go crazy.

I had sent an attachment of a photo taken off the CRT.
An attractive still blue graphic, explaining that loss of The Tube was "beyond their control", and "solely the decision of The Tube...", also stating "please do not contact WNWO or your cable operator" (The Tube was also on a digital cable channel in Toledo proper).
I'll put it back up when I figure out why my attachment didn't attach.
WNWO had replaced The Tube with Retro Television Network on 24.2 (Book 'em, Dano!)
WUAB-DT 43 (28.2) has text with similiar wording to the one WNWO had been using, but a very plain display. As of 10-21, it is still there. (My suggestion, I wish they could put WVIZ on their .2, since WVIZ does not have ATSC at present, AFAIK).
