Default 7/8 Es 100.9 unID SS

This came in at 2001 during the up/down Es opening tonight. Not sure if there is an ID in the talking here. Es was kinda all over the place but mainly confined to MO/KS/AR and SE TX. Nothing on 100.9 for spanish in those areas but this may be a recent format change or something. Thanks as always for any help in advance.

The second clip meanwhile was the tail end of this station a minute later into an EE 100.9 that is also an unID.

I know very little ss, however from the little I can pick out it sounds like it might be Mexico. Rick in NWNJ and those in CT had Mexico at the same time on low band TV so it should be possible. I can't pick out too much but it sounds like you caught a bunch of ads, with a possible mention of "Pesos" around 1:20 in the first clip in what sounds like a car ad (with the disclaimers). It does sound like theres a phone number in there though, so maybe that could be matched to something.

Just for the heck of it, I looked and found there is a 100.9 in Mexico south of Brownsville in the state of Tamaulipas. Another is located in Nuevo León to the NW. I also did a search in the US, and found the only ss 100.9's are located in California.

It's XHSA Saltillo, Coahuila listed as 9,720 watts. Announcement for a concert in Saltillo of a band called "Chuy Garcia of Monterrey" (I think!) then Coahuila government farmacias ad, (pharmacies) and another farmacias ad for Saltillo.
Great catch!!

Congrats Nick. That is awesome. Glad to see you're making good use of 100.9. What time was that clip? I need to check my logs. I would gladly take a TA station.

Thanks so much Randy for IDing this! And thanks to Michael also for pointing me in the right direction. Mexico #2 here, new distance record at 1817 mi., barely eclipsing KRWN-NM.

Steve, this came in from 8:01-8:03 PM ET. I did have weak bursts of Mexican music a few minutes before this came in pretty strong, starting around 7:57. May want to check starting then.
